COVID-19 Update February 7, 2022

The governor lifted the State of Emergency on June 15, 2021. Here is how it impacts you:

Annual Well Visits Are No Longer Allowed to be Virtual Visits

All annual well visits will be required to be completed in the office, in person.

Out-of-State Virtual Visits No Longer Allowed
We are unable to provide telehealth services to any patient who is not in Massachusetts at the time of the visit. If you (or your child) are attending an out-of-state college, please take this into consideration and contact the office to arrange appropriate follow-up.

Start Line Pediatrics Procedures

As we have done since the beginning of the pandemic, we continue to separate well and sick children. Well Visits are done in the morning and Sick Visits are done in the afternoon (to the extent possible).

Who is coming in for Well Visits?  We are seeing all Well Visits in office.

What about Sick Visits?  We are seeing all Sick Visits in office.  You may request a Virtual Sick Visit unless the provider feels that it would be more appropriate for an in-office visit, depending on the issue.

Behavioral Health Visits? Mera is in office now on Wednesday afternoons for in person visits. Monday and Thursday visits are virtual.

What is the check-in process? 1) Please continue to call from your car when you arrive to begin the check in process. You will be directed about when to come up (no waiting room use)  2) Everyone 5yo and up must wear a mask in the office.

How can you help?  PLEASE start a MyChart account if you don’t already have one. Parents must have a MyChart account for any type of Virtual (Telehealth) Visit. In addition, all patients 13yo and older must have their own MyChart account for any Virtual Visit. Having an account will expedite the process should a Virtual visit be necessary. You can also send secure, non-urgent questions, download physicals forms, vaccination records and pay bills/copays online through MyChart. Our reception staff will be happy to assist you with a login during business hours.

Please know that everything we do is based on up to date CDC and DPH guidelines/recommendations to keep our patients, their families and our staff, as safe as we currently know how.

The next baby basics class is a virtual baby basics class on April 28th, 3pm-4pm.

OPEN TO ANY EXPECTING PARENT.  YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE PATIENTS OF START LINE PEDIATRICS. FREE BUT MUST CALL TO REGISTER.

What our patients are saying

Dr. Rahim is very personable, cares about his patients and is knowledgeable on up-to-date medical information. He not only takes the time to listen to our questions and concerns but also addresses them with compassion, which is so important to us. His approach and quality of care is well aligned with our values and I would trust his opinion on any aspect of our children’s care. The best is seeing the genuine smiles on our children’s faces when they get to visit Dr. Rahim, whether they’re sick or there for well-visit, they’re excited to see him, have trust in him and find comfort in his care. As a mother, that’s all I can ask for.  ~  HELENA K.

My son and my daughter have been patients of Dr. Rahim’s for nearly twelve years and he has cared for them through childhood, adolescence, and early adulthood. Dr. Rahim is a friendly, competent and caring physician who is able to relate to his patients and their parents in a pleasant and gentle manner, making everyone feel comfortable and at ease. Dr. Rahim listens to concerns and thoroughly takes the time during visits to answer questions and to get to know more about his patients. We are all very pleased with the care that Dr. Rahim has provided and we always have confidence in his thoughtful and prudent recommendations. ~ ROXANNE S.

As a pediatric nurse, when selecting a pediatrician for my children, I had a very high bar. At my first visit with Dr. Rahim I had an immediate sense of trust and comfort. Dr. Rahim has cared for my 3 children for almost 15 years and our experience has been exceptional the entire time. He is incredibly thorough, thoughtful with his words, and has a very warm bedside manner, everything you could hope for as a mother.

One of the things that truly stands out to me about Dr. Rahim is his ability to listen and respect the input and opinions from my children and us as parents. It has created a very safe and collaborative approach that I believe has cultivated a meaningful relationship. We all respect and admire Dr Rahim and feel fortunate to call him our pediatrician.  ~ ALLISON M.
