Hulafrog's Most Loved Pediatrician
March 2024
Although the COVID Public Health Emergency officially ended in May of 2023, and along with it the mask mandate in healthcare settings, we continue to see COVID in office.  With guidance from our Infectious Disease specialist colleagues at Boston Children’s Hospital the following is still in effect.

Check-In

You will still need to call from your car before coming up to the office.

Screening

We will continue to ask COVID screening questions, but not in the detail that we have in the past.  Please let us know if you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 in the last 10 days or have any of these symptoms: fever, chills, body aches, fatigue, cough, difficulty breathing, sore throat, congestion, runny nose, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, or loss of taste or smell.

Masks

Beginning Friday May 12th, healthy patients and families will not need to wear a mask in our office. However, we will still request you wear a mask if you have any of the following:

– A fever or other flu-like symptoms

– A known COVID-19 infection and are in the isolation period

– A known exposure to COVID-19 within the last 10 days

For the safety of our patients and staff, we ask that you respect this request.

Individuals who prefer to wear a mask while in our office regardless of their symptoms or exposures are welcome to.

If COVID-19 is suspected or positive, our staff will continue to wear the full PPE that you have become accustomed to.

Additionally, we have given our staff the option of masking for well visits. This does not mean that they are sick, simply that they are opting to mask.

Please note that if there is a rise in COVID cases in the community, guidelines may change and masks may become required again in our office.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we have made our way through so many changes throughout the pandemic.

What our patients are saying

Dr. Rahim is very personable, cares about his patients and is knowledgeable on up-to-date medical information. He not only takes the time to listen to our questions and concerns but also addresses them with compassion, which is so important to us. His approach and quality of care is well aligned with our values and I would trust his opinion on any aspect of our children’s care. The best is seeing the genuine smiles on our children’s faces when they get to visit Dr. Rahim, whether they’re sick or there for well-visit, they’re excited to see him, have trust in him and find comfort in his care. As a mother, that’s all I can ask for.  ~  HELENA K.

My son and my daughter have been patients of Dr. Rahim’s for nearly twelve years and he has cared for them through childhood, adolescence, and early adulthood. Dr. Rahim is a friendly, competent and caring physician who is able to relate to his patients and their parents in a pleasant and gentle manner, making everyone feel comfortable and at ease. Dr. Rahim listens to concerns and thoroughly takes the time during visits to answer questions and to get to know more about his patients. We are all very pleased with the care that Dr. Rahim has provided and we always have confidence in his thoughtful and prudent recommendations. ~ ROXANNE S.

As a pediatric nurse, when selecting a pediatrician for my children, I had a very high bar. At my first visit with Dr. Rahim I had an immediate sense of trust and comfort. Dr. Rahim has cared for my 3 children for almost 15 years and our experience has been exceptional the entire time. He is incredibly thorough, thoughtful with his words, and has a very warm bedside manner, everything you could hope for as a mother.

One of the things that truly stands out to me about Dr. Rahim is his ability to listen and respect the input and opinions from my children and us as parents. It has created a very safe and collaborative approach that I believe has cultivated a meaningful relationship. We all respect and admire Dr Rahim and feel fortunate to call him our pediatrician.  ~ ALLISON M.
