COVID-19 Update June 18, 2020
Now that MA is in Phase 2 of re-opening, we are slowly, carefully and thoughtfully bringing more patients into the office for visits. As we have done since March, we continue to separate well and sick children. Well visits are done in the morning and sick visits are done in the afternoon (to the extent possible).
Who is coming in for Well Visits? We are trying to bring in ALL well visits now, prioritizing those children who need vaccinations at their visit. If you are not comfortable coming in, you can certainly request a Virtual Well Visit.
What about Sick Visits? We prefer to continue sick visits Virtually for now unless the provider feels it is better for you to come in, depending on the issue.
What is the process? 1) Please continue to call from your car when you arrive to begin the check in process. You will be directed about when to come up (no waiting room use) 2) Only one parent to accompany patient whenever possible 3) Everyone 2yo and up must wear a mask.
How can you help?
PLEASE start a MyChart account if you don’t already have one. Parents must have a MyChart account for any type of Virtual (Telehealth) Visit. In addition, all patients over 13yo must have MyChart accounts for any Virtual (Telehealth) Visit. Having an account will expedite the process should a Virtual visit be necessary. You can also download physicals and pay bills/copays online through MyChart. Our reception staff will be happy to assist you with a login during business hours.
Please continue to be patient with us as we navigate this new world, we appreciate it so much. And, please know that everything we do is based on up to date CDC and DPH guidelines/recommendations to keep our patients, their families and our staff, as safe as we currently know how.
